If you’ve ever stood in front of a home washer doing math — how many loads is this mountain, really? — our biggest machines end the guessing. A 60 lb washer handles about 60 pounds of dry laundry in one load: roughly six standard home loads, a full week (or two) for a family of four, or the big stuff that never fits at home.
What fits inside
King and queen comforters, blankets, sleeping bags, and bulky bedding finally get room to actually move in the wash, which is how they get clean instead of just wet. At The Laundry Barn in Claremore we run four 60 lb machines alongside 40 lb, 30 lb, and 20 lb washers, so you can match the machine to the load instead of splitting everything into pieces.
Loading it right
A quick rule of thumb: fill the drum about three-quarters full, loosely. Clothes packed tight don’t rinse clean; clothes with room to tumble do. And if you’d rather not do any of it, our attendants can point you to our wash/dry/fold counter — drop it off and we handle the sorting, washing, drying, and folding.
We’re open every day 8:30 AM–8:30 PM at 1501 N Lynn Riggs Blvd in Claremore. Last drying load must be started by 8:30 PM — you’re welcome to finish, but please note there’s no re-entry after 8:30 PM. Every machine takes cards or coins, the coffee’s on, and there’s an attendant around if you want a hand picking a machine. Call (918) 341-2690 with questions.
